We're a hybrid label focused on the production of highly-personal objects and experiences, designed by artists working at the intersection of music composition, performance, cinema, and code.

Our mission is to design and present new forms of physical artifacts that encourage deeper engagement with albums amidst today's stream-focused music economy. Founded in 2016 by a group of artists driven by a shared passion for the sensory connection and communal experiences inherent in real-world craft, 79A fosters collaboration between creatives working across the globe.

The first group project we produced was a concept album released on a handheld video projector. Deru "1979" – the project that inspired our name – gave us affirmation that fans are willing to dive deep into a mythology and invest in design objects that feel valuable enough to pass onto the next generation. We learned that spending hours putting inked marks to paper by hand, combined with the inventive use of modern technology, yields a wholly-original and inspired process where tradition meets innovation.

We want you to proudly display our products on your shelves. We hope they spark ideas, create conversations, and fill your spaces with wonder – because that's why we became obsessed with music in the first place, and we think you agree.
